We were very disappointed that gas line connectors were leaking and fumes were inside the van. Being on camp site we had no way of fixing, meaning we had no use of cooking or hot water in the van. We had to rely on friends help. Due diligence from the owners in supplying a van in working order should have been done.
We had a great holiday in Megan and Daniels van and managed to cope with parts of the van not working properly or not working at all. The toilet wouldnt flush even though it was full of water marking the toilet and bathroom smell badly the whole of our trip, the shower rose leaked very badly so the bathroom basin couldnt be used otherwise everything got wet, the microwave wouldnt work, the stove mechanism wouldnt light and there were no matches, and only one burner would work on the stove. The water tank gages for fresh water and grey water wasnt working. The main legal matter was though there was no smoke alarm which is a mandatory oversight. In saying all this Meagan and Daniel were very helpful in their communication when the power for the lights stopped working and they worked with us to rectify the problem. Once all the defects in the van are resolved it would be good to hire, but their kilometres per day is very low at 150 kilometres compared to other vans at 200 kilometres per day and they charge 0.50 cents per kilometre when the total is passed whereas others only charge 0.30 cents when the total is passed.
It was a great experience for us. We were first time camper canners, Megan and Daniel were kind and helpful with all our queries.
Overall we enjoyed the campervan experience however we would not hire this particular van again. The main issue we had was that this van is advertised as being suitable for off grid for about 2 days at a time (which is what we were doing), if we were conservative with use and had sun to recharge the solar batteries. However we found that the battery would keep going off after even only 1 day or less(despite driving for 4 hours and a full sunny day of 27C). We would wake up in the morning and the battery would be off and fridge off. It you started the car and ran it for a short time it would reset but this was stressful. Basically the van has old battery technology and it appears to be on its last legs. The solar panels much the same. Fortunately we were travelling with other people who had newer vans who were able to plug us to use their inverter and solar. If you only want to use this van in powered sites then it would be okay but definetely not off grid at all. There were also other things that didn't work and require fixing. the control panels don't work. The flush on the toilet doesn't work so you have to do this manually. One of the burners on the gas stove top doesn't work. The USB charging ports don't work even when plugged in to power. We had to take some of our own equipment as there was no kettle or saucepans provided. We really only dealt with Megan and she was helpful and explained everything at handover.
Good, enjoyed the experience
Had excellent time. Van easier to drive than I thought. Was also easy enough to park. Best way to do a road trip in Oz.
This was our first time in a motorhome. Megan provided videos beforehand on how to operate the van and was helpful answering all questions during handover. The van was easy to drive and had all the amenities we required. Perfect for our family of 3!
Meaghan and Daniel were super helpful and informative hosts for a complete novice such as me. As described van is super easy to drive.
Overall we were pretty disappointed and did not feel valued as customers. We particularly wanted to hire a campervan less than 6m long, as this is the size we hope to buy, so we hired Megan & Daniel's van as it was advertised as 5.79m. In fact when we arrived it is nearly 7m long (Nomad M700), not a hard thing to get right! Apart from this the van was OK but as Megan was ill we had no effective handover just a short video which did not really tell us how anything worked. When we arrived at Marysville it took a couple of hours to get power working in the van as we did not understand the switches and then found we had no kettle or even a saucepan to boil water for a cup of tea. We had to buy our own kettle and later we had to purchase a broom and dustpan and brush as these were not present either. We found the cutlery was not properly washed and we had only one teaspoon, no other spoons in the cutlery drawer. The Van description said it had Satellite TV and a Smoke detector. We could not see either of these. This was not a cheap hire and overall we felt we not treated as valued customers or provided with basic equipment which should be in every hire van and the van description was not correct.
First time camping as an adult, Megan made it easy with proactive messages. Always responsive and helpful. It was my 8yo son and I on this trip and he enjoyed it immensely with this campervan.
Van was very sophisticated and luxurious . Cant complain anything . Everything is thought out . Peace of Mind . Made my camping Memorable . Cant wait to book again .
Very nice to drive, sleeping was ok. All basic accessories were included. Megan and Daniel were very accommodating of requests
Excellent
Great we had a fun trip
Very good experience Easy to drive and great communication Will hire again!!!
We had a wonderful time in Delphine, she was all we could have wanted and more. As described, and Megan was a pleasure to deal with. We'll be back for our next trip!
Really recommend using Dan and Meg. They were very friendly and helpful. The amenities were great.
I expected the solar power would supply more power than it delivered, in future I would only stay in powered sites. Apart from that it was excellent . Daniel and Megan were extremely pleasant and helpful. Would certainly hire from them again.
A perfect motorhome for 2 adults and a small child. Vehicle was spotless and the bed was surprisingly comfortable! Hose is missing a few adapters but it wasn't an issue as fellow campers are more than willing to help you out. Echoing Daniel's review from April 2024, if you're a first timer, it is probably best to familiarise yourself with the make and model of this particular motorhome on your own before the handover. Megan was very patient with our questions, and she will text you a couple of video links that explain how to do most things. The motorhome drives very well and has everything you will need. The air-conditioning and heating were lifesavers during our trip with unpredictable weather swinging to the extremes.
Our trip was great! No major issues, and Daniel and Megan are always attentive to any questions, online or over the phone. Even if it's the fiest time driving a motorhome, it's easy to get used to the size. The petrol usage is great!!!!
We had a great first experience renting and driving a motorhome. The motorhome was super easy to drive, it had everything we needed for a hassle free holiday. Megan was very responsive and was very thorough with the handover. We will definitely rent her motorhome again.
